Parent Communication

In addition to face-to-face contact with parents at drop off and pick-up time, teachers' main form of communication with parents is through an app called Class Dojo. Through the Class Dojo app, parents can see a news feed of things that have been happening in class including photographs of their children during their learning activities. Class Dojo also has a messaging section where parents can send a message to the class teacher if they are not able to catch them for a face-to-face conversation. Teachers can also send a message out from the app to parents in the class to remind them about any important dates coming up or any special things that the children need to remember to bring to school.

The app can also be a great way to communicate with parents when children are off-site on a school trip or residential as we are able to share photos easily to show that we have arrived at our destination and any activities that the children are enjoying. 

We also send out newsletters to parents (via email) when there are a number of pieces of information that need sharing all at the same time.
